The Scottish press reveals the reason negotiations between Ianis Hagi and Rangers have stalled

Ianis Hagi (26 years old) is ending his contract with Rangers this summer and can leave for free, after failing to reach an agreement with the Scots for an extension.

Returning to the first team of Rangers in October 2024, after a „exile” to the reserve team, Ianis managed to become an important player for the club at Ibrox Park.

However, he is rapidly heading towards leaving Rangers, being in the final months of his contract, and the Scottish press has learned where negotiations between the parties for a new contract have stalled.

"Hagi currently has the highest salary at Rangers and the feeling is that if an agreement is not reached for a new contract with a lower salary, the two parties will go their separate ways in the coming months," the Scottish press announces.

Ianis Hagi has played 26 matches, scored three goals, and provided seven assists in all competitions this season for the first team of Rangers.
