Fiorentina announced on Tuesday the death of Joe Barone (57 years old), the club’s general director.
In an official statement posted on communication channels, the Italians from Fiorentina announced the passing of Joe Barone, the club’s general director.
"Fiorentina mourns Joe Barone. With immense sadness, Fiorentina confirms the passing of Joe Barone, a person who has left a mark on the recent history of Fiorentina and will never be forgotten. (...) The entire Viola family sends condolences to the family in these sad moments," as stated in an official statement to the Italians.
Barone suffered a heart attack on Sunday before the match between Atalanta and Fiorentina in Serie A.
He had been serving as the general director of Fiorentina since November 2019.
