Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota, who played for Liverpool, has passed away at the age of 28.
Marca reports on Thursday the death of Diogo Jota, the Liverpool footballer, who died in a car accident.
The accident occurred at kilometer 65 of the A-52 motorway, near the town of Palacios de Sanabria. According to the source, the Liverpool footballer and his brother, Andre, were in a car, and at some point lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and caught fire.
Witnesses claim that the car was immediately engulfed in flames.
Andre, Diogo Jota's brother - also a footballer, played for Penafiel.
Diogo Jota had recently married his partner Rute Cardoso on June 22. The couple had three children together.
