Back at Rangers’ first team, Ianis Hagi (26 years old) impressed in the matches he played.
So much so that the British press has intervened in his case and demands he be a regular starter.
Since his return to Rangers' first team in October, Ianis has provided three assists and scored once. The Romanian international is in great form, which is why British journalists argue that he should be a starter in Philippe Clement's team.
"The Romanian international has been in impressive form since returning to the first team and deserves to be a starter. (…) Hagi has been a starter in the last three league games. (…) He has created ten goal-scoring opportunities and provided three key passes, suggesting that he can offer the team more than Bajrami," writes the British press.
Hagi Jr. was a starter and played the full match in the Celtic - Rangers game in the Scottish League Cup final (3-3, 4-5 on penalties). He had been a starter in Rangers' last three league matches against St. Johnstone (1-0), Kilmarnock (6-0), and Ross County (3-0).
