A visit to a Ford factory in Michigan turned into a series of controversial episodes for Donald Trump. The American president was caught making an obscene gesture towards a protester, and later, in a speech, he mocked and caricatured Joe Biden, saying that he was „completely drugged.”
During the tour of the Ford factory in Dearborn, a man from the crowd shouted that Trump was „a protector of pedophiles.” The president looked in the direction of the shouts, seemed to say „F… you,” then turned around and allegedly showed the middle finger to the protester, as reported by New York Times.
The White House communications director, Steven Cheung, justified the gesture in a statement, stating that "a lunatic was screaming obscenities frantically, in a complete fit of rage, and the president offered an appropriate and unambiguous response."
The images, apparently filmed with a mobile phone, were later published by the TMZ website. Ford did not comment on the incident.
Trump imitates Biden: "He was completely drugged"
Shortly after this episode, Trump attacked Joe Biden again in a speech at the Ford factory in Detroit. According to Le Figaro, the president caricatured and imitated the former Democratic leader, stating that he "always coughed before a speech."
Trump imitated Biden by forcefully and caricaturally exhaling, then said that the former president's speeches were "very short" and that the "only time" he "was revived was rather a success," because "he was completely drugged."
Attacks against Joe Biden are not new. Trump frequently refers to the former president as "Sleepy Joe."
In the context of Biden's cancer diagnosis, Trump ordered an investigation in June against his predecessor's entourage, accusing them of conspiring to hide his decline and usurp his powers.
