An attractive tourist destination is recruiting three people willing to travel to discover the gastronomy, nightlife, art, and stunning sunsets in the area. Airfare and accommodation are free.
The VisitSPC organization, which promotes the St. Pete-Clearwater tourist destination in Florida (USA), is looking for the right people for three „dream” roles. Those who want to enjoy a vacation and earn handsome money at the same time must apply for the following positions:
- "Chief Vibes Officer" (Responsible for the atmosphere);
- "Chief Flavor Officer" (Responsible for flavors);
- "Chief Sunset Curator" (Responsible for sunsets).
The unique recruitment campaign launched by VisitSPC includes 10-day missions designed to discover the people, places, and experiences that define the beach culture in this region of Florida, as reported by Travel+Leisure.
“Our new ‘directors’ have the challenging mission of eating, drinking, exploring, and fully savoring the St. Pete-Clearwater experience... and getting paid for it,” stated Brian Lowack, President and CEO of Visit St. Pete-Clearwater.
“It may seem like a vacation, but it's real work. Knowing our destination means living it every day, following what interests and surprises you, and sharing these discoveries with others,” he added.
The St. Pete-Clearwater area is renowned for its beaches with fine powder-like sand and white as sugar. Clearwater Beach is considered one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. The local culture and the multitude of experiences available just a few steps away make this destination even more attractive, as noted by the source.
What's Included in the Job Description
- Chief Vibes Officer is the perfect role if you prefer the liveliest entertainment venues and nightlife. You will explore the live music scene, nightlife, entertainment options, and any place where the atmosphere takes you. From authentic bars and hidden local spots to rooftop terraces, beachside bars, legendary concert halls, and much more.
- Chief Flavor Officer is suitable for gastronomy enthusiasts. In this position, you will explore the culinary scene of the region by tasting various dishes and drinks, all in the name of research. You can expect Michelin guide-recommended dishes, freshly caught seafood, local hotspots, international cuisine. Surely, whoever gets this position will not go hungry.
- Chief Sunset Curator is for romantics. Essentially, you are paid to admire the sunsets in St. Pete-Clearwater. And you will have plenty to see, as the area enjoys an average of 361 sunny days per year. The chosen one has the mission to find inspiration throughout the region: from world-class museums like The Dalí Museum and the Museum of American Arts & Crafts Movement (Museum of American Arts & Crafts Movement), to hundreds of murals – including those created at the Shine Mural festival (November 6-15, 2026) – colorful neighborhoods, and, of course, spectacular sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.
The winners will receive round-trip airfare, accommodation for their ten-day missions, VIP experiences, and $10,000 each. They will, in turn, share experiences related to the people, places, and moments encountered during their stay.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and available for the ten-day missions from November 6 to 22, 2026.
They will complete an online application form and must undergo a video interview directly through the platform.
The SPC-Suite recruitment committee - composed of current members of the leadership team and other VisitSPC employees selected based on outstanding performance in activities outside their usual office duties – will then evaluate candidates considering authenticity and storytelling ability, creativity and originality, presence and interaction with the public on social networks, as well as the ability to create engaging content.
Applications must be submitted by October 22, 11:59 PM (Eastern Daylight Time – EDT).
And an important detail: after completing the initial missions, the winners may be invited to leverage their experience on other trips, continuing the collaboration.
