The lead singer of Coldplay, Chris Martin, overcame the embarrassing moment from the night before in Bucharest and offered unconditional love to the audience „the greatest we’ve had.”

On the second night of the concert at the National Arena in Bucharest, Martin invited three young people to sing with him, after having the manele singer Babasha as a guest on the first night. Among the three young people was also a survivor of the Colectiv tragedy from 2016 (when 65 young people died in a fire). After that, Babasha was once again present.

Encore of boos, by request

Unexpectedly, Chris Martin asked the audience to repeat the boos from the previous night, but louder, stating that he loves the fans, even if they boo.

"Last night we had our first concert in Romania. I felt shocked, sad, and somehow guilty that I did something wrong. Then I went to bed and tried to sleep and realized that you are our audience, that we love you unconditionally, you can't change that.

We travel all over the world, maybe we don't understand what you're going through, your culture, but I know we love the world the same way, which means we also love Romanians.

For us, yesterday was very beautiful, we love you anyway. I would like to change something, yesterday you booed, so today I would like five seconds of louder boos than yesterday. It's the loudest booing I've heard. You are the best audience in the world. I would like to invite three people on stage. It doesn't matter where you're from," Martin said.

Initially, the audience was slightly disoriented, followed by a strong booing, appreciated by Chris Martin: "Today's booing was better than yesterday's."

Cheers for manele

Later, the singer announced that at the second concert at the National Arena, a manele song would also be performed, "just one song," and asked the audience, "if you don't like it, go to the bathroom or do whatever you want, send messages to your friends on your phone, but be good. We love music and people."

The announced manele was sung once again by Babasha, who this time received cheers throughout his performance.

Approximately 50,000 fans attended the concert on Wednesday as part of Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres World Tour, with another 50,000 estimated for Thursday night.
