Are you going to Bulgaria? Cars must be disinfected for a fee

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has issued a travel warning for those planning to travel to Bulgaria.

As a preventive measure, the disinfection of means of transport at border crossing points has been reintroduced due to the risk of the spread of African swine fever.

The disinfection is carried out on the entry side into Bulgaria from Turkey, against a fee:
– for cars, the fee is 7 BGN;
– for minibuses, the fee is 10 BGN;
– for heavy-duty vehicles registered in Bulgaria, the fee is 20 BGN;
– for heavy-duty vehicles registered in other states, the fee is 40 BGN.
