The eHealthMy platform will be available for use starting September 1st by patients from all over the country. The new portal will provide them access to their own medical record, the possibility to make online appointments, and a direct communication channel with health insurance companies.
For authentication, patients will need to install the ROeID mobile application, developed by the Romanian Digitalization Authority. This app offers users a digital identity and allows verification of the person entering the portal.
"This way, we ensure that the person entering the eHealthMy portal is indeed the specific person, meaning there are no false identities," explained the president of the National Health Insurance House, Horațiu Moldovan, Monday evening on Digi24.
The platform is already being tested in Oradea, together with the County Emergency Clinical Hospital and several private providers of medical services.
"Today, this portal, eHealthMy, is already operational in Oradea, alongside the County Emergency Clinical Hospital, as well as several private providers in Oradea who are helping us test in real life, so that from September 1st, this application can be available nationwide," stated the head of CNAS.
What patients will be able to see on the platform
eHealthMy will have 12 modules. Patients will be able to view their medical history, prescriptions and their release history, referral tickets, medical letters, as well as consultations, investigations, and other services reimbursed by CNAS on their behalf.
Medical documents will also be available in digital format. Thus, a referral ticket can be viewed or downloaded from the portal, and the specialist doctor will be able to see it directly in the system, without the patient relying solely on the printed document.
The platform will also have an online appointment system, but this will be gradually expanded. Medical service providers will be required to use it starting from the last quarter of 2026, after the pilot period ends.
Using the portal will not be mandatory. Patients who do not have access to the Internet or do not use digital applications will still be able to resort to traditional ways of accessing medical services.
