Valentin Mihăilă has accepted the transfer to another team in Serie A

Romanian midfielder Valentin Mihăilă seems to have given his agreement to leave AC Parma, after former Romanian coach Cristi Chivu accepted the offer from the mighty Inter.

The 25-year-old player is increasingly likely to be removed from the squad of the Crusaders. And the most rumored option given by the Italian press is still a Serie A team: US Lecce, 17th place last season, where he has already agreed to move.

The information also came from the agent of the Oltenian midfielder, Giovanni Becali (73 years old), who confirmed the interest of Lecce, the former team of Gică Popescu.

Although he still has a contract with Parma until June 2027, Mihăilă is highly likely to leave this summer from the former team of Cristi Chivu. Lecce has made a clear offer for the Romanian, loan and the possibility of a permanent transfer in exchange for 3 million euros, but Parma wants a higher amount. After Mihăilă agreed to go to Lecce, Italian journalists from Giornale di Puglia announce that Sticchi Damiani, the president of Lecce, will enter into a new series of negotiations with Parma for the transfer of Mihăilă.

"Lecce made an offer, the clubs may come to an agreement. Mihăilă is coming back tonight from Greece, probably tonight or tomorrow I will meet with him. We'll see. Unfortunately, he has been injured in recent months and hasn't played much. But Mihăilă still has a lot to say.

He is only 25 years old and has a lot to say. When I took him to Parma, we all thought Mihăilă would have a lot to say. He didn't say much, partly because of the injuries. Now comes another stage, I hope for a revival, for him to reach where he believed, where I believed, where we all believed he would.

The issue [with Mihăilă] is that he has not played more than 48-49% of matches in the last 5 years. It doesn't go over 50%. Then, when you tell [the clubs] what salary he wants, they pretty much hang up the phone," said Giovanni Becali on the show "Digi Sport Matinal" on Digi Sport.

The Romanian international played 22 matches in the recently ended season for Parma, during which he provided 3 assists.
