The Spanish press announces that another important team in Europe has entered the race for the transfer of Andrei Rațiu (26 years old).
After Rațiu’s name was „linked” to several top teams, such as Barcelona, another important club has him on the list as well.
According to Relevo, Andrei Rațiu is on the shortlist of Aston Villa, a team with excellent results under the command of Unai Emery. Rațiu has "convinced" the officials at Villa Park that he would deserve a potential transfer to the Premier League through his performances and qualities, the cited source further states.
However, Rațiu is not the only right-back on the list of Aston Villa. Juan Foyth (Villarreal) and Oscar Mingueza (Celta Vigo) are also options for Unai Emery. It remains to be seen if Andrei Rațiu will be the chosen one, considering his consistently good performances in the latter part of 2024, after a fairy-tale European Championship with the Romanian national team.
Andrei Rațiu is described as "a full-back with a physique suited for the Premier League" by those close to the Romanian footballer, according to Relevo.
The defender has played 17 matches (1391 minutes) in all competitions this season for Rayo Vallecano, during which he scored once and provided an assist.
