Ange Postecoglu, the Australian coach of Radu Dragusin at Tottenham, commented on his defender’s performance in England after the Romania vs. Belgium match at EURO, on Saturday evening, with a score of 0-2.
The Romanian central defender has had a very good performance so far at EURO, in the two matches played, against Ukraine and Belgium. Postecoglou, the coach from the player’s club team, Tottenham, did not hesitate when it came to talking about the Romanian defender in a press conference held in England.
So far, Drăgușin has received quite good ratings, 7.50 against Ukraine and 6.70 against Belgium: "He is a great kid and a defender who likes to defend. He is also a brave defender and is only 22 years old. It's great to have him at Tottenham," Postecoglou told the English.
After last night's match, Drăgușin also spoke in front of the press at the mixed zone in Koln, admitting that the national team did not replicate the high level of play from the match against Ukraine: "We were not at a high caliber. I don't know what was missing. We had chances. In the second half of the game, we were able to keep possession. We didn't score, and that mattered. They capitalized on their chances better. Today we lacked something and we couldn't make it happen. I have the utmost confidence in my teammates. I don't think this result will demoralize us. We will play the last match for all or nothing. I believe today the difference was made in the final third. We could have had more ball possession. Everything starts from the defenders. Against Slovakia, we will show that we can qualify further. We will not demoralize at all. We have a goal, which is achievable, and we will give our all for it," said Radu Drăgușin, according to Pro TV.
