Cristi Chivu, a great coach's speech, after his first victory in Serie A, on Parma's bench

Cristi Chivu successfully debuted on the bench of Parma, with the team defeating Bologna 2-0 in the current round of Serie A. Dennis Man also made an important contribution, providing an assist.

After the match, Chivu, former great Romanian international, emphasized that credit belongs to the former coach, Fabio Pecchia, and the players: „The merits should be attributed to the coach and the man Fabio Pecchia. He deserves appreciation for what he has done for this team and for this city: we found a group ready to face and resist the shock against a strong team like Bologna, a team built to reach the Champions League,” said Chivu, quoted by Parma Live.

Chivu also highlighted the team's spirit of sacrifice: "The boys were extraordinary, they adapted perfectly to the moment. These days we talked a lot, and I tried to touch those sensitive points that would reignite the flame they needed."

Following this victory, Parma has accumulated 23 points and climbed to 17th place in Serie A, temporarily moving out of the relegation zone. Parma's next match will be against Udinese on March 1st, away.

Before the start of the match, Valentin Mihăilă, Adrian Bernabe, and Ange-Yoan Bonny were honored for their 100 appearances in Parma's jersey.

Chivu concluded: "We are delighted with this victory, which means a lot to all of us, to the city, and to everyone around the team. We know that hard work pays off, and with growing confidence, we can do even better."
