A new issuance of FIDELIS government securities will be launched on Monday, and blood donors will continue to receive the best interest rate.
The government securities issuance will be available from 8th to 17th April.
Government securities will be issued in lei, with maturities of 1 year and 3 years and annual interest rates of 6% and 6.85%, respectively, and government securities in euros, with maturities of 1 year and 5 years and annual interest rates of 4% and 5%.
The face value of a FIDELIS government security is 100 lei for the issuance in lei and 100 euros for the issuance in euros, with a minimum subscription threshold of 5,000 lei and 1,000 euros, respectively.
Conditions for blood donors
Blood donors can purchase government securities in lei, with a maturity of one year, and receive an interest rate of 7%, the highest interest rate offered in this edition of government securities.
Another benefit offered to donors is a 10-fold decrease in the minimum subscription threshold from 5,000 to 500 lei.
Individuals who provide proof of blood donation starting from July 1, 2023, can benefit from these advantageous conditions.
No commissions and taxes
Resident and non-resident individuals over 18 years old can subscribe to FIDELIS government securities denominated in lei and euros through partner banks BT Capital Partners & Banca Transilvania, Banca Comercială Română, BRD – Groupe Société Générale, and Alpha Bank, securities that are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
No commissions are charged by intermediary banks in the subscription process for FIDELIS government securities, and the income obtained, both from interest and capital gains, is non-taxable.
Holders of FIDELIS government securities issued in previous issuances that have matured can reinvest the unredeemed funds at maturity by subscribing to this new issuance.
