Trump threatens to destroy an entire civilization. The EU remains silent

The European Union has ignored Donald Trump’s threat to destroy Iran’s „entire civilization.” Diplomats and officials in Brussels have indicated that they do not take the statements of the American president literally, but a few members of the European Parliament have set diplomacy aside and strongly criticized the US president.

American President Donald Trump is once again pressuring Iran to yield and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, threatening on Truth Social, just hours before the expiration of the ultimatum he imposed on Tehran, that „an entire civilization” will be wiped off the face of the Earth if an agreement is not reached to end the conflict.

"An entire civilization will perish tonight, never to be brought back to life," Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social. "I don't want this to happen, but it probably will."

"We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. 47 years of blackmail, corruption, and death will finally come to an end. God bless the great people of Iran!" the White House leader further wrote.

Trump's ultimatum to Tehran would expire at 8:00 PM Washington time (Wednesday, 3:00 AM Romania time).
