Simona Halep reveals the sport she took up after retiring from tennis.
The former WTA ranking leader confessed that she has a new passion: golf.
The sport recommended by former President Klaus Iohannis has fully captivated Simona.
"I exercise when I feel the need. I could say I do it 3-4 times a week. I go for walks, something I didn't do before. And I rest. I started reading more. I started watching TV more, something I didn't do before. Being outdoors, being in nature.
I started playing golf occasionally, rarely, but I started, flirting with the intention of playing. I really like being in nature while playing golf, and it relaxes me a lot," Simona said to Gsp.ro.
Simona also explained that she greatly appreciates the free time she has now.
"Free time, meaning time without pressure, time without objectives. Now I have plenty of this, and it's good for me. That's exactly what I felt I needed, which is why I decided to stop. I had already reached a very, very deep emotional exhaustion.
Now I'm starting to rest. I don't sleep very well, but slowly, during a day, for example, if I planned to go to the gym and in the morning I don't feel like it, I don't go, and I like that, I mean, it makes me happy," Simona added.
