Nicușor Dan came to vote on Sunday morning, together with his life partner, at Luceafărul School in Bucharest.
The General Mayor of Bucharest voted „realistically” because Romania is going through „a difficult moment.”
"I voted for many silent, honest, hardworking people who have not been represented by anyone until today. I voted for hope and for a new beginning for Romania, a country that has capable people here, in the diaspora, and in the Republic of Moldova, capable of making this country what it deserves.
I voted realistically because Romania is going through a difficult moment, and we cannot expect those who have led Romania into the ground since May 19 to pull it out.
And I voted for justice and for that candidate who can bring justice to Romania," stated Nicușor Dan.
He thanked Romanians abroad who voted in large numbers and encouraged them to go to the polls, as well as those who have not done so yet.

"I want to thank Romanians in the diaspora who voted in very large numbers. I encourage them to vote," he added.
