The Scottish press presents the true story behind Ianis Hagi's comeback

The Scottish press has revealed the backstage of Ianis Hagi’s return to the first team of Rangers.

Journalists from One Football have disclosed how Ianis Hagi made his way back to the senior team.

The Scots reveal that the initiative came from Ianis himself, who approached the Rangers' bosses and indicated his willingness to forgo a salary increase.

"Everything changed in the last week. Hagi approached the club with a change in attitude. He was willing to give up the salary raise and remain at the current level, without activating any clause, if he was reintegrated into the first team.

Clement is not a big fan of the attacking midfielder, but he has to acknowledge that the injury list at Ibrox is always concerning and in need of more options.

Considering this, everyone agreed to cancel the 'Wilson clause,' and Hagi could be used like any other player, with his salary remaining at the current level. It's a better solution – yes, he doesn't play with his heart at Rangers, you can be sure of that, but he wants to play football and prove himself for a future transfer, and if we get more from him now, we can't complain. But the deadlock has ended, and finally, an absurd situation has been resolved," wrote One Football.

The Romanian footballer had a contractual clause where his salary would increase by 7,000 euros per week if he reached his 100th match at Rangers.

The Romanian had played 99 matches, and for this reason, Rangers sent him to the second team to prevent his salary from increasing.

After Ianis gave up this clause, he was reinstated in Rangers' first team. The sacrifice is significant on Ianis' part, as he will forego 609,000 euros until the end of his contract with Rangers, according to the Scottish press.

The Scots also announce that Ianis will remain with a weekly salary of 26,000 euros. In other words, Ianis earns approximately 1.3 million euros per year at Rangers.
