Ianis Hagi (25 years old) is facing a European Championship that could change his football destiny at the club level.
Currently on the sidelines at Rangers, Ianis Hagi can showcase his skills at EURO 2024 and attract the interest of a new team.
Former British footballer Gary Lineker "tagged" Ianis Hagi ahead of EURO 2024, stating that he is the "star player" of the Romanian national team.
"Ianis Hagi is the star player of Romania. He is a Rangers player, was loaned to Alaves. He is the son of Gheorghe Hagi, who was a brilliant footballer," said Gary Lineker about Ianis Hagi, as quoted by the Scottish press.
Ianis Hagi recently announced that he has instructed his agents to find him a team for a transfer during this summer's transfer window. He is under contract with Rangers until 2026, but will not be retained in the squad.
