The goalkeeper of the Romanian champions, FCSB, namely Ștefan Târnovanu, who was raised at Politehnica Iași, may be sold for a significant sum to a top European team.
Galatasaray, the former champion of the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, has decided that they are willing to offer a substantial amount for the 24-year-old Romanian, specifically 4 million euros. After his praised performances at FCSB this season, especially in European competitions, where the red and blue team reached the round of 16, Galatasaray has set their sights on him.
The Turkish press announces that the Cim Bom team sees Târnovanu as the perfect replacement for Fernando Muslera (38 years old), the veteran who will leave at the end of the season. Haber reports that Galata does not even want to wait until the end of the season and will already start negotiations with owner Gigi Becali for the sale of Ștefan.
Galatasaray initially wants to offer 4 million euros, although his release clause is much higher, at 10 million. Recently, the same owner Becali claimed that he had rejected a 4 million euro offer from abroad for Târnovanu, but he would not be willing to let him go even for 5 million.
3.5 million euros is Târnovanu's market value on Transfermarkt, where he has been at FCSB for five years.
