Edi Iordănescu has decided his future

After receiving an offer of 5 million euros per year from the Gulf region, Edi Iordănescu has decided his future.

The coach has chosen to reject any offer and will remain with the Romanian national team for the next 4 years.

Iordănescu has already informed his staff that he will stay with the Romanian national team, but the announcement will be made after EURO 2024.

This is because the coach wants all focus to be on the match against the Netherlands scheduled for Tuesday.

Only minor details remain to be finalized between the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and Iordănescu, but voices from both sides have expressed confidence that the contract signing will occur this month.

Iordănescu’s future contract will not be contingent on qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

The objective will be to participate in EURO 2028, with qualifying for the 2026 World Cup being just a bonus.
