Cristian Diaconescu was appointed, starting from June 30, to the position of presidential advisor for defense and national security, by a decree signed by President Nicușor Dan.
The appointment decree was published on Tuesday in the Official Gazette of Romania.
"Starting from June 30, 2025, Mr. Cristian Diaconescu is appointed to the position of presidential advisor for defense and national security," the cited source specifies.
Furthermore, also through decrees signed by President Nicușor Dan and published on Tuesday in the Official Gazette, Mariana Costea, Delia Dinu, Luminița Teodora Odobescu, and Simona-Livia Maftei were appointed to positions as presidential advisors, starting from June 30, 2025.
In the positions of state advisors, through decrees signed by President Nicușor Dan and published in the Official Gazette, Lenuța Cobuz, Gabriel-Cristian Pișcociu, and Cătălina Galer were also appointed, starting from June 30, 2025.
Cristian Diaconescu held the position of presidential advisor for defense and national security during the interim presidency of Ilie Bolojan.
Mariana Costea was a state advisor within the Presidential Administration, and since April 7, she was appointed by interim President Ilie Bolojan as a presidential advisor at the General Secretariat of the Presidential Administration.
Delia Dinu was a presidential advisor at the Protocol Department, Luminița Odobescu - a presidential advisor at the Department of European Affairs, Simona-Livia Maftei - a presidential advisor at the President's Cabinet.
