The President of the Right Force, Ludovic Orban, announced on Monday that he has decided to run for the position of President of Romania.
„Today, I announce to the citizens of Romania that I have made the decision to enter the competition for the election of the President of Romania. I have decided to run for the position of president because I consider it a moral obligation that I have towards Romanian citizens and a gesture of responsibility towards the future of Romania.
"I have a political career of over 30 years, in which I have climbed, step by step, almost all the public office positions in which I could serve the citizens," announced Ludovic Orban in Parliament.
The leader of the Right Force said that his entire career is one of work and effort, and he has always chosen the right path, even though it has been much harder.
"I want my candidacy to be a message of trust and hope in the future of our country and in the chance for every Romanian to succeed in life," Orban emphasized.
Ludovic Orban made the announcement together with the leader of the PMP, Eugen Tomac.
Tomac stated that he is pleased that today a genuine right-wing political pole is born, prepared for the most important battle of this year.
"Our parties, PMP and the Right Force, have decided today, in their leadership bodies, to lay the foundations of a new political alliance. Today, a true right-wing force is born, formed by PMP and the Right Force, a liberal-conservative political alliance, which will enter the battle of the presidential and parliamentary elections," said Eugen Tomac.
