MEP Diana Șoșoacă has been penalized for the scandal she caused in July during the European Parliament session, the announcement being made by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, according to PPE MEP Siegfried Mureșan.
„The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, has just announced the penalty for Diana Șoșoacă for her inappropriate behavior during the July plenary session, when she repeatedly disrupted the Parliament meeting,” writes Siegfried Mureșan on Facebook.
The penalty consists of a 7-day suspension from participating in the European Parliament plenary session and a 7-day suspension of the daily allowance as well.
"In the European Parliament, if you break the rules and make a fool of yourself, you will always be sanctioned," concludes Mureșan.
MEP Diana Șoșoacă was escorted out of the European Parliament plenary on July 18 during the debate on the election of Ursula von der Leyen.
Șoșoacă wore a muzzle and shouted "You have killed people" and "I was voted by Romanians." She raised an icon, shouting "In God we trust!"
As she left the room, she began shouting in English, "I have the right to speak. I was voted by Romanians."
She also had the famous black bag in which, during the pandemic, she claimed that those who died from COVID-19 were placed, which she presented in the plenary of the Parliament in Bucharest. When someone tried to take her bag, she refused to give it, saying it was her property.
