Good news from meteorologists. Those who have already made plans for Easter have no major reasons to worry about the weather. The updated estimates from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) show a balanced spring, with temperatures close to normal and moderate episodes of rain, without major extremes.
European meteorologists have updated the forecast for the period 16 March – 13 April 2026.
Week 16–23 March: warmer in the west, but nationwide drought
The first part of the interval brings slightly higher temperatures than normal in the west and northwest, while in the rest of the country, thermal values remain close to the usual for this period.
On the other hand, precipitation will be below normal levels throughout the country, meaning a rather dry week.
Week 23–30 March: above-average temperatures and normal rainfall
In the second week, the weather warms up slightly nationwide, with values above the period's average, especially in the northern part of the country.
The rainfall regime returns to normal, meaning that rains will occur within the usual limits for the end of March.
Week 30 March – 6 April: more rain in the south, east, and in the mountains
The last week of March and the beginning of April bring temperatures close to normal in most parts of the country.
On the other hand, rains will be more abundant in the south, east, and mountainous areas, where the rainfall regime will be above average. In the rest of the regions, precipitation amounts will remain around the average.
Week 6–13 April: stable weather before Easter
As Easter approaches, meteorologists estimate a stabilization of the weather. Temperatures will be close to normal for this period throughout the country.
Precipitations will also remain generally within normal limits, without signs of extreme phenomena.
