Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Shah of Iran, claims to have a plan to transform the country into a democracy and calls for the departure of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei from power.
In a post published on X, the descendant of the last Shah of Iran calls for the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime and assures that he has a plan to turn the country into a democracy, while „the Islamic Republic of Iran is collapsing,” reports Le Figaro.
"We see a leader who is now hiding in a bunker like a rat and who has lost control of the situation (...) I think all of this is conducive for something to happen very soon and for my compatriots to finally prevail," said the crown prince in a three-minute video about the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has ruled Iran with an iron fist for 36 years.
The crown prince calls on the population to revolt "to reclaim Iran." "The end of the Islamic republic represents the end of the war it has been waging for 46 years against the Iranian nation," Reza Pahlavi said. "The future is promising, and together, we will overcome this turning point in history," he assures.
To this end, the opponent of the religious regime in Tehran claims to have planned everything: "We are prepared for the first hundred days after the fall, for the transition period, and for the establishment of a national and democratic government for the Iranian people and by the Iranian people."
Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has been living in exile since January 1979 and hopes to return to the Iranian political scene.
At the age of 60, settled in the Washington region since 1984 with his wife and three daughters, Reza Pahlavi has not ceased in recent years to denounce the intentions of the Islamic regime in Tehran, which, according to him, aims to export the revolution beyond its borders through terrorism and Islamism.
In an interview with Le Figaro last February, the son of the last Shah of Iran assured that he does not want to establish a monarchy.
