More and more bizarre cases are happening in Romanian schools. The most recent one took place at a high school in Brașov. A seventh-grade student blackmailed his history teacher. He threatened to make indecent photos of her daughter public if he didn’t receive good grades.
Everything happened at Liceul cu Program Sportiv in Brașov. The blackmailed teacher went to the school’s management and also to the Police.
Initially, the teachers of the student's class noticed that the boy was disrupting classes, behaving inappropriately. Therefore, a behavior grade reduction was decided. After two to three months, the teachers realized that things had worsened and they even lowered his behavior grade to 4.
"From that moment on, things escalated. This case is somewhat atypical because it involves a seventh-grade student blackmailing a teacher. What we can tell you is that we found out about this situation relatively late because initially the history teacher from the Liceul cu Program Sportiv addressed the School Safety Police Office directly. At this moment, we can inform you that these two children who are the protagonists of these events are being transferred to two different schools," said Valentin Bucur, the spokesperson for the County School Inspectorate, to Radio Romania Brașov.
The Brașov Police have opened a criminal file for threats.
"The police officers from the School Safety Office in Brașov were notified about the incident and are conducting investigations to establish the exact facts and consequently take the necessary legal measures. In this case, following the received complaint, a criminal file was opened, and investigations are currently being conducted, in rem, regarding the commission of the crime of threats," stated the spokesperson for the Brașov County Police Inspectorate, Daniel Zontea.
