Louis Munteanu (23 years old) is on the verge of leaving CFR Cluj, confirmed Nelu Varga, the team’s owner.
After receiving several significant offers, Munteanu will move to the United States, to DC United, a club that is close to finalizing the deal with all parties involved.
The Americans will pay $7 million for Louis Munteanu’s transfer from CFR Cluj, a sum to which significant bonuses will be added, potentially raising the transaction to no less than $10 million, as announced by journalist Tom Bogert.
Louis Munteanu has scored three goals and provided six decisive assists in all competitions of the current season at CFR Cluj.
