Louis Munteanu (23 years old) is getting closer to leaving CFR Cluj in 2026.
After the interest of teams from France, Lyon and Nantes, in his signature, another team is seriously considering his transfer.
According to the British press, Louis Munteanu is at the top of Celtic's transfer list, a club that also wanted him last summer.
"We can confirm that Polish midfielder Mateusz Bogusz and Romanian forward Louis Munteanu are at the top of Celtic's transfer list for the January window. They are looking for reinforcements. (…) Offers from the summer, including one from Celtic, have been rejected. (n.r. - regarding Munteanu) Now, the transfer could be for a sum between six and eight million pounds," writes the website teamtalk.com.
Louis Munteanu is under contract with CFR Cluj until the summer of 2028.
He has only scored three goals this season for CFR Cluj, after being the league's top scorer last season.
