Andrei Rațiu has decided his future and will sign the extension of his contract with Rayo Vallecano.
This summer, the Romanian international was courted by several clubs, but he chose to stay with the team from Vallecas. Furthermore, the Spanish club paid 5 million euros to acquire the shares held by Villarreal over the player.
At Rayo, Rațiu currently earns 700,000 euros net per season, ranking only 12th in the team's salary hierarchy, and has expressed to the management his desire for a salary increase.
According to digisport.ro sources, the club officials have decided to offer him a new contract. Thus, Andrei Rațiu will remain at Rayo until 2029, and his remuneration will increase to 1 million euros net per season, becoming the highest-paid player in the team.
According to transfermarkt.com, Rațiu's market value is 10 million euros.
