Romanian midfielder Florinel Coman is in serious negotiations to return to a top-tier championship, after his brief stint at Cagliari in recent months.
Coman, the former star from FCSB, was loaned in the last 6 months by the Qataris from Al Gharafa to Cagliari, but in Italy, he didn’t quite convince, perhaps also due to injuries.
Now, Florinel Coman is in extensive talks with the German titan Borussia Monchengladbach, which could represent a strong move in this summer transfer market. The information was brought by commentator Horia Ivanovici on the show Fanatik Superliga:
"Florinel Coman is in discussions with Borussia Monchengladbach, a transfer that our friend Adrian Ilie, Cobra Ilie, is trying to solve. There are chances, discussions are ongoing. It would be a bombshell transfer, Florinel Coman to the Bundesliga.
There are strong discussions at the moment. It's a salary negotiation. He earns around 1.2 million dollars in the Arab countries, Monchengladbach may not be willing to offer him such a high salary. But, it is possible for it to be a bombshell transfer and for Florinel Coman to join Borussia Monchengladbach, in the German league. Adrian Ilie took Ghiţă there, where he plays very well."
"It would be a big move for Florinel Coman and Romanian football to play in the Bundesliga. We are following and we will see what happens," the journalist revealed on the aforementioned show.
Coman was sold by FCSB to Gharafa for 5.25 million euros, but Gigi Becali is still waiting for this money, having won the dispute with the Arabs at FIFA.
