The Trump Administration is buying a luxury residential building in Pipera, where some of the staff of the United States Embassy in Bucharest are expected to live.
The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) within the U.S. Department of State in Washington has signed the acquisition contract, as revealed by data analyzed by Profit.ro.
The subject of the acquisition contract is the Pipera Eins building on Tudor Arghezi Street, developed and built by Heberger Romania, the local subsidiary of the eponymous German construction group founded in 1948.
The luxury building is located near Baneasa Forest, not far from the United States Embassy, as well as the American School in Pipera.
The building has 4 floors and 28 apartments, but the developer plans to reconfigure them into 16 larger residential units, with 4 on each floor, one of the 16 being designated for people with limited mobility.
On the developer's website, the apartments in Pipera Eins are listed at prices starting from 320,000 euros plus VAT, respectively 580,000 euros plus VAT, depending on the size and amenities.
