Cagliari coach Davide Nicola spoke about the injury suffered by Florinel Coman (26 years old) in the match against Genoa (1-1, in Serie A), during the post-match press conference.
Coman was forced off with an ankle injury after just 30 minutes in the Cagliari – Genoa 1-1 match, his first start in Serie A.
Team coach Davide Nicola said that Florinel Coman will undergo further examinations and it might be a tendon issue.
"Coman? He needs to undergo medical tests. It might be a tendon issue," said Davide Nicola, as quoted by Calciocasteddu.
Coman injured his ankle while attempting a dribble by stepping on the ball. He tried to continue for about 5 more minutes before being substituted. Before being replaced, Coman had a chance to score but hit the crossbar from a free-kick.
Florinel Coman remains with just one goal scored in Italy.
