ANPC inspectors have discovered several safety elements damaged in the amusement park in Mamaia.
According to a statement from the ANPC, the Coastal Command conducted a series of inspections in the Mamaia Holiday Village, where 11 economic operators were checked in various areas of activity: leisure services, non-food goods sales, toys, beach articles, eyewear, textiles.
In the leisure equipment area, inspectors found the use of equipment with damaged seats, through peeling and tears, the absence or use of damaged safety belts, and the use of deteriorated signaling electrical installations.
Among the deficiencies found in the commercial area are:
- sale of dangerous toys that could endanger the lives and health of children, notified on the European non-food product alert system, RAPEX;
- lack of conformity marking on toy labels;
- sale of textile products with information deficiencies on labels regarding fiber composition or sale of potentially dangerous products through piercing (like knives), affecting vision (like lasers), or application on the skin (like tattoos).
For the identified irregularities, 12 fines totaling 53,000 lei were imposed, two warnings were issued, and the permanent cessation of use/sale of non-compliant products was ordered.
"I recommend consumers, especially parents, to be very careful when purchasing toys, souvenirs, and other items, as well as various services. Vacation should be a time of joy and not turn into real dramas or tragedies due to these things that can endanger their health or even their own or their children's lives," stated Sebastian Hotca, interim president of ANPC.
