Romanian central defender Radu Drăgușin added a few minutes for his team Tottenham Hotspurs in round 37 of the Premier League.
There, the Londoners prevailed 2-1 against Burnley, who also mathematically relegated with this defeat. Radu Drăgușin came on for Oliver Skipp in the 75th minute.
Spurs' coach, Australian Ange Postecoglou (58 years old), expressed satisfaction with the performance of the substitutes, including Drăgușin, at the post-match press conference: "As you also mentioned, I had to be creative with tactics. I knew that in the last half-hour we would be physically dominated, as has been the case consistently this season.
So we needed a defensive line that would at least give us a chance to capitalize on the opportunities created. Dane Scarlett came on and worked hard. I think Bentancur was also very good. Radu did well, so the changes had an impact," stated Postecoglou.
Prior to this match, Drăgușin had been an unused substitute for 6 consecutive matches. Tottenham narrowly won the game against Burnley, with the decisive blow coming late from Van de Ven in the 82nd minute.
Spurs are in 5th place in the Premiership, 4 points behind Aston Villa, who hold the final Champions League spot.
