Fiorentina seems to not be counting on the services of Romanian forward Louis Munteanu, 22 years old, a member of the Romanian national team, in the upcoming season.
The leadership of the Viola team, which has loaned Munteanu to Farul Constanța by the seaside in the past 2 years, has made a decision regarding the future of the Romanian forward for the next season. Specifically, Alessandro Ferrari, the general director of Fiorentina, omitted the name of the Romanian forward when listing the options the team from Florence will rely on in the next season in the offensive department:
"After the arrival of Moise Kean, we will not be signing any other forwards. He is a high-quality forward and wants to return to the level he had during his time at PSG. For that role, we also have Beltran, Nzola, and Kouame."
"We are satisfied with what we have. The only changes that will occur will be in the midfield department, we need alternatives for Palladino. I hope people will judge us after the transfer window closes, after the season starts and the first matches are played, especially those in the Conference League play-offs," Ferrari stated, according to fiorentinanews.com.
In the previous Liga 1 season, Munteanu scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 34 matches. There is therefore a strong interest from FCSB and Rapid for Munteanu, teams that have repeatedly tried to contact the player or even the Italian club he belongs to. Furthermore, owner Gigi Becali stated after Saturday's match between FCSB and U Cluj that he will definitely sign a forward.
At the senior level, Munteanu has only played for Farul Constanța. He won the title alongside the "sailors" in the 2022-2023 season.
