The future of Cristi Chivu at Inter has been decided: "We have reached an agreement"

Giuseppe Marotta, the president of Inter, made an announcement about Cristi Chivu’s future, after the Romanian won the event with the Nerazzurri in his first season as a senior coach in Italy.

Marotta revealed that the Romanian has already signed a contract extension until 2028, and everything will be made public in a few days.

Inter will start the new season as the defending champion, and Marotta was present at the drawing of the fixtures, where he announced that: "Chivu has already extended his contract until 2028, we will announce it in the coming days," according to gazzetta.it.

Inter will begin the new season against the newly promoted Monza.

The Romanian coach took over the team last summer, parting ways with Parma and replacing Simone Inzaghi.

After signing the extension, Romanian Chivu will have an annual salary of 4 million euros, double what he had in the previous agreement with the Nerazzurri.
