The transfer of Kylian Mbappe (25 years old) to Real Madrid, for free from PSG, has been officially confirmed, and the salary of the French superstar has been disclosed by the international press.
The „soap opera” of Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid has come to an end after three years. He has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid, where he will have a significant salary, but where he will earn less than at PSG, his former team.
Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has published the figures of Kylian Mbappe's contract at Real Madrid, some truly astronomical. According to the source cited, Mbappe will earn 57.5 million euros per year at the "Santiago Bernabeu," most likely the sum being net.
Additionally, upon signing the contract, Kylian Mbappe will also receive a bonus of 100 million euros for being brought in on a free transfer.
However, even though the amounts are exorbitant, at Real Madrid, the Frenchman will earn 16 million euros less per year than his salary at PSG.
According to Le Parisien, Mbappe is set to wear the number 9 at Real Madrid, and from the 2025/2026 season, he will switch to number 10 after Luka Modric's departure. The Croatian will remain one more season at Madrid, then retire.
The Frenchman Mbappe scored 44 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 matches played in all competitions last season, wearing the PSG jersey.
He is valued at 180 million euros by Transfermarkt.
