Two brothers aged 10 and 12 repeatedly drove a BMW, even reaching speeds of up to 157 km/h

A child was filmed driving a car on a road in Dâmbovița County, Romania. The investigation revealed that the boy is 10 years old and repeatedly got behind the wheel. His 12-year-old brother also drove the car, and the children’s father has been detained.

The case was opened by the Traffic Police Office in Târgoviște and concerns driving a motor vehicle or tram on public roads by a person without a driver’s license and entrusting a vehicle for which the law requires the possession of a driver’s license.

The father of the children, a 34-year-old man from Cojasca commune, was detained for 24 hours, as announced by the Dâmbovița County Police Department on Wednesday evening.

After investigations, it was found that between February and August, on multiple occasions, the man entrusted his car to his 10-year-old and 12-year-old children.

In one instance, the car was driven at 157 km/h.

"Throughout tomorrow, October 31, the man will be presented to the magistrates with a legal proposal. The police are continuing the investigations under the supervision of the prosecutor handling the case," the Police further stated.

Footage of a child driving a BMW on a road in Dâmbovița County while listening to manele music has surfaced online. The footage appears to have been filmed from the same vehicle, from the back seat.

The clip shows the child even overtaking, with people on both sides of the road.

And this incident is not isolated. There have been other cases in Dâmbovița.
