The media in Moscow has released Russia’s conditions set to end the war in Ukraine (the so-called Special Military Operation) and establish peace in the country.

In an article published in Pravda titled „Moscow announces Ukraine’s capitulation for the first time, following the Special Military Operation,” we read, among other things:

"Russia is preparing to accept Ukraine's capitulation. The West has been informed to prepare as well. For the first time, the Russian leadership has officially formulated a position regarding the unconditional capitulation of Ukraine."

The newspaper then quotes the following statements from Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya:

"Very soon, the only subject for any international meeting concerning Ukraine will be the unconditional surrender of the Kiev regime. I advise you all to prepare from now on."

After drawing a connection between the potential peace in Ukraine and the recent visit of President Lukashenko to Moscow, the newspaper wonders, "How will Ukraine's capitulation look?" and continues:

- disarmament and surrender of the defeated enemy's army;
- power will be taken over by the victorious military administration;
- the future political structure of the defeated country will be determined by the victor;
- the victor will organize a tribunal (to judge) the regime, leaders, and other officials;
- the victor will establish the level of reparations owed.

Reiterating the headline "Under what conditions will Moscow accept peace at this stage?" the newspaper points out:

- the repeal of Vladimir Zelensky's decree prohibiting any negotiations with the Russian Federation;
- acceptance of realities on the ground and those provided in the Russian Federation's Constitution, specifically recognizing the regions of Sevastopol, Crimea, DPR, LPR, Kherson, and Zaporizhia from former Ukraine as Russian territories;
- denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, meaning the abolition of Bandera's ideology and the return of the Russian language to the status of a state language, reducing the Ukrainian Armed Forces and its armaments to certain limits to be discussed, written guarantees from the West regarding Ukraine's non-entry into NATO, as well as a revision of Ukraine's Constitution and other laws.

In conclusion, the article states:

"Kyiv is not ready to meet these conditions. Naturally, neither is the West. They still hope for a miracle - perhaps a coup in the Russian Federation, maybe something else, although they have more or less given up on any miraculous weapon. It is not excluded that the West might take advantage of Russia's military victory to 'bite' some territories from former Ukraine.

Such comments are found in the press, although President Putin's position on this issue is still unclear. However, as the situation changes rapidly, it is possible that neither the Hungarians, nor the Poles, nor the Romanians will gain anything. Or (perhaps they might gain something) in exchange for written security guarantees from them and withdrawal from NATO".

There is much to be said, but it seems wise not to comment.
