Ianis Hagi finally receives some good news at Rangers, a team where he was recently reintegrated into the first team by Belgian coach Philippe Clement.
After scoring a goal and providing an assist in a match for the reserve team, which they won 5-0 against Partick Thistle, Ianis, a 26-year-old Romanian midfielder, is expected to start in the Sunday encounter in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers will play at home against Hearts, and several Scottish publications write that the Romanian international will make his first start in the Premiership this season:
“Clement might leave Mohamed Diomande on the bench and bring in the creative playmaker Ianis Hagi. The Romanian is eager to get some minutes, and his cunning and skill should unlock the opposing defense,” noted Sports View, while Rangers Review states: “It would be a good idea for Ianis Hagi, with his creativity, to start instead of the hard-working Mohamed Diomande. The Romanian is eager to play and could be the man Rangers need in this match.”
How Rangers' starting 11 could look in the duel with Hearts: Butland - Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Jefte - Barron, Raskin - Cerny, Hagi, Bajrami - Dessers.
Rangers are currently in 3rd place in the Scottish top league, below Celtic and Aberdeen, and recently, the Glasgow side thrashed FCSB in the Europa League, winning 4-0.
