The Italian press is advancing the first name of a football player that Cristi Chivu (44 years old) will sideline at Inter.
Chivu has reached an agreement with Inter and will be the team’s new coach, with everything set to become official next week. The Italians have tried to find out the changes the Romanian coach will make, and one of them has come to light.
Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan will lose his starting position in Inter's team, mainly due to his age. Cristi Chivu already has a replacement for Mkhitaryan in Croatian Petar Sucic (21 years old), one of the players transferred by the Italians this summer.
"Sucic, an immediate starter at Chivu's Inter," writes the website inter-news.it, which details: "Sucic, a talented Croatian, could immediately find his place among the starters. Mkhitaryan's role could be reduced, making room for young players," the source announced.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has played 49 matches (3544 minutes) in all competitions this season at Inter, during which he scored once and provided five assists.
