Universitatea Craiova defeated Rapid 2-1 in the 2nd round of the Superliga play-off, after playing with one player less.
Rapid opened the scoring in the 48th minute, when Bamgboye headed in a cross from Papeau.
Two minutes later, the team from Oltenia was reduced to 10 men, after Houri received his second yellow card.
Nevertheless, Craiova equalized. Baiaram was brilliantly set up by Mitriță in the 59th minute and scored with a well-placed shot.
Later, Mitriță converted a penalty in the 66th minute, securing the three points.
Following this result, Universitatea Craiova climbs to 2nd place with 31 points, 4 points behind FCSB, who will face Farul on Sunday. Rapid is in 4th place with 28 points.
In the next round, Universitatea Craiova will travel to FCSB, while Rapid will face CFR Cluj.
