Francesco Totti, the former great footballer from AS Roma, makes a statement full of sincerity towards Cristi Chivu (45 years old).
Totti and Chivu were teammates at AS Roma, but the Italian claims he did not expect the Romanian Chivu to become a coach.
The legendary Totti, however, asserts that he has proven his worth by the way he managed the difficult situation he found Inter in when taking over the technical bench.
"Did I expect him to become a coach? No, but I know him, I know his desire for growth and improvement. He has shown that he is a great coach, he took over a not easy team, an important club, and proved his worth," said Francesco Totti, according to the Italian press.
Inter, with Cristi Chivu in his first season on the bench, won the Serie A title.
Furthermore, the "nerazzurri" are also qualified for the final of the Italian Cup, so the Romanian coach has the chance to make history.
