Champion in Serie A with Inter, Cristi Chivu (45 years old) scores a major financial deal.
The Italian press announces that Chivu’s contract with Inter will be extended, and the Romanian coach will also receive a salary increase.
Specifically, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristi Chivu will sign a contract with Inter until 2028, with his annual salary increasing to three million euros.
"Inter and Chivu will remain together until 2028. The contract extension is ready, with a salary of three million euros," notes the source cited.
In Chivu's initial coaching contract with Inter, his salary was 2.1 million euros.
Inter won the Serie A title with Cristi Chivu on the bench and has the chance to achieve a treble, being qualified for the Italian Cup final.
