Even though he lost the Conference League final to Crystal Palace, Andrei Rațiu is preparing to leave Rayo Vallecano.
Despite the defeat, Rayo’s journey to the European final remains a significant achievement, and journalists from Marca have included Andrei Rațiu in the list of the most appreciated players of the Vallecas team this season.
The Spanish publication claims that the excellent performances of the Romanian defender in the European campaign will attract offers, and it will be extremely difficult for Rayo to keep him.
"Such an impressive performance seen by all of Europe will be noticed by many clubs. Players like Rațiu, Ciss, De Frutos, Chavarria, and others will have lucrative offers during the summer transfer window," wrote Marca.
Andrei Rațiu is coming off his second consecutive season as a starter at Rayo Vallecano. After the first year in which he established himself as a key player in La Liga, the Romanian international has attracted the attention of several clubs, but the Spanish team officials have rejected all offers received.
The most significant offer came from the Premier League, from Wolverhampton, a club that offered €18 million for Rațiu's transfer. However, Rayo's management did not approve the move.
Last summer, the club in Vallecas informed interested teams that Andrei Rațiu could only leave in exchange for a sum of €25 million.
