Palestinian children will be treated in Romanian hospitals

Romanian Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, announced that preparations are being made to receive Palestinian children who will be treated in Romanian hospitals after being injured in the Israeli army’s attacks.

Rafila did not specify the number of children to be treated in Romania. Digi24 learned yesterday from sources that there could be 19 Palestinian children, and most of them will be taken from the West Bank.

"This is about the European protection mechanism.

We have received, there will be those from the Department for Emergency Situations who will handle transportation.

We are preparing for treatment based on pathology.

We already have such a list, the pediatric hospitals in Bucharest for those with multiple traumas, Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital and possibly Marie Curie.

For oncology patients, probably at Fundeni Clinical Institute.

I can't give you a specific date, but in a very, very near future," explained Alexandru Rafila on Friday in Iași, when asked how many children will be brought from Palestine to be treated in our country's medical units.
