A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was killed by her 15-year-old cousin: He stabbed her multiple times and strangled her

The two-and-a-half-year-old girl from Dolj County who had been reported missing and later found dead was killed by her 15-year-old cousin.

Investigators found that the girl had been stabbed and strangled, with her blood found on the boy’s clothes, who has been detained.

Following the autopsy, "it was established that the minor's death was a violent one and was due to internal and external hemorrhage, caused by multiple traumatic injuries, some of which were penetrating, as well as mechanical asphyxia by strangulation.

After conducting several pieces of evidence, the hypothesis emerged that the minor Nicolas Masi Codreanu, aged 15, was the person who inflicted the aforementioned violent injuries, resulting in the death of the victim Raisa Maria Nicoleta Stan," stated the prosecutors from the Dolj County Prosecutor's Office.

The blood of the girl was found on the clothes of the suspected boy.

"Relevant to the case was the judicial genetic expertise carried out on a piece of clothing collected from the minor defendant Codreanu Nicolas Masi, following his physical examination. According to the conclusions of this expertise, the clothing item taken from the suspect had traces of human blood, and the genotyping of this sample revealed that it belonged to the victim Stan Raisa Maria Nicoleta.

Considering that from the evidence gathered so far it emerged that the minor Codreanu Nicolas Masi, taking advantage of the victim Stan Raisa Maria Nicoleta's clearly vulnerable state due to her very young age (2 years and 5 months), inflicted multiple blows on her with a sharp-penetrating object, possibly a knife, and strangled her using a textile material rope," the quoted source conveyed.

The 15-year-old boy has been detained for 24 hours for murder.

He is to be presented to the Dolj County Court with a proposal for pre-trial detention for 30 days.
