FCSB announced that Siyabonga Ngezana will be unavailable for a long period, and the South African press reacted.
Ngezana, one of the best central defenders in the Superliga in the last two seasons, made many mistakes and had poor performances in the current season. FCSB attributed his poor performances to a knee problem, with the meniscus, for which he is ultimately scheduled for surgery.
The South African press reacted after his long-term unavailability was announced.
"Ngezana doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. He will be unavailable for a minimum of six weeks as he is set to undergo surgery after trying a plasma injection.
The former Kaizer Chiefs star will thus certainly miss the preparation matches for the 2026 World Cup that Bafana Bafana will play against Panama," writes KickOff.
FCSB revealed that, following an MRI scan, Siyabonga Ngezana was diagnosed with a knee meniscus problem, a problem he did not inform the club about.
