Cristi Chivu (44 years old), the coach of Parma, sent a message to Dennis Man (26 years old) at the first press conference held after taking over the technical bench of the „Crusaders.”
The new coach of Parma, Chivu, stated in front of journalists that he wants Dennis Man to work harder and contribute more to the team.
Chivu said that Man "has potential" and needs to take on responsibilities in order to succeed in the Parma shirt.
"Dennis, like everyone else, needs to work hard, needs to work hard and take on responsibilities like everyone else.
He is an important player, he had a decline since December. Our task is to get him back in shape, to make him the player we are used to. What we saw at the beginning of the season is not enough, I want much more because he has potential," said Cristi Chivu, quoted by Orange Sport.
The Romanian also mentioned that he tried to restore the players' confidence after the recent results.
"It's not a simple moment, there is a lack of confidence. Our focus has been on this, we tried to convey enthusiasm to have a different approach than in the last matches. It takes time and patience, it takes determination to ensure that the team can have a different approach to character," added the new coach of Parma.
Parma is in 18th place, relegation zone, with 20 points gathered after 25 matches played in this Serie A season.
